Insects Awaken by Ming Jun Qian

My ink and color-ink paintings evoke unique poetic impressions imbued with sensitivity and awareness. Engaging a traditional Chinese painting style, with special Chinese painting tools, including brush, ink, paper and ink-stone, these ink and color-ink paintings summarize with an economy of marks my artistic vision. Due to space limitations for this exhibition I focus on a single scene limited to a bird or insect in each work. This limitation focuses and encapsulates my intent in a meditative and reflective way.
